Mrs. Mary B. Sura

March 14, 1914 - January 22, 2012

Mary (Baburchak) Sura 97 fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday morning, January 22, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1995, her parents and seven siblings.
Mary is survived by a brother, Frank Baburchak, a sister, Helen B. Pitkin, both of Binghamton and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church. She was a former employee of E-J Corporation, Johnson City, and Federal Electronics, Vestal.
She was the matriarch of a large, loving family and enjoyed spending time fishing at Owasco Lake.

Funeral Information

A Funeral service will be offered by Rev. Ilya Gotlinsky on Wednesday at 11am at Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 54 Baxter Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at the convenience of the family. Rev. Gotlinsky will conduct a prayer service Tuesday 4pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street Binghamton where the calling hours will be from 4-7pm.
