Pelahia Kit of Binghamton

Pelahia Kit fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, December 2, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stefan; her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Kit; her parents, Michael and Marta Fedak; her brother, Ivan Fedak; her sisters and brothers in laws, Anna and Wasyl Rozhancka, Parania and Ivan Lobac and Ivan Shepko.
She is survived by her devoted son, Wolodymyr Kit and his wife Diana; five grandchildren, Marta (Andrij) Birko, Bohdan (Rae Lynn) Kit, Nadia Kit, Roman Kit and Katie (Scott) Paugh; six great grandchildren, Zinoviy and Maxym Birko, Cody Hill, Kameron Kit, Matthew and Nathan Paugh; her brother Michael (Oksana) Fedak; her sister, Nadia Shepko; and many nieces and nephews in Ukraine.
She was a devout member of St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Saturday 9am at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton, and 10am St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1 St. John’s Parkway, Johnson City, where a Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Rev. Zinovy Zharsky. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rev. Zharsky will offer a prayer service Friday 5:30pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Friday 3-6pm.
