George A. Puskar of Binghamton

George A. Puskar 89 fell asleep in the Lord on Monday afternoon, January 5, 2009, at Elizabeth Church Manor.
He was predeceased by his wife, June D. (Travis) Puskar in 2007, three brothers, Michael, Alec and William Puskar and his sister, Mrs. Michael (Helen) Pastorok. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Chester (Mary) Travis of Marietta, GA, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many special friends.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theatre, a Pearl Harbor Survivor and a member of the First Ward American Legion Post #1254. He was a retired employee of ANSCO, Binghamton and a member of St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer.

Funeral Information

A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko on Monday 9:30am at St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 1-4pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton.
