Olga Zumawtzak Fiaschi of Binghamton

 

Olga Fiaschi, 95 of Binghamton passed away peacefully on May 1, 2017. She was born in Binghamton in 1922 and was raised by the late Andrew and Anna (Holovka) Zumawtzak.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Julia Delforno (Tony), Susan MacNamara (Maurice), Helen Bocchino (John), Anna Strozzi (Jerry), sister-in-law Marge Zumawtzak and a nephew, Philip Zumawtzak.

Olga was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Robert Fiaschi, daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Dan Fairchild of Binghamton. She is also survived by her brother, John Zuwawtzak, and all of her “favorite” nieces and nephews.

Olga was employed by ANSCO/GAF for thirty-seven years and retired from I.B.M. Endicott. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, trips to Atlantic City, NJ with her sisters and shopping trips to Boscov’s with her Danny.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Willow Point Second Floor South for the love and care to mom.

 

 

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be offered by Protopresbyter James Dutko at noon on Monday at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton where the family will receive friends Monday 10am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
