Mr. Pawlo Laszko

July 22, 1917 - March 25, 2009

Pawlo Laszko 91 passed away on March 25, 2009 at Willow Point Nursing Home. Born July 22, 1917 in Poland, Paul came to the United States in 1951. He resided and worked with Frank and Mary Lopke Sr. on their family farm for over 50 years. During this time, Paul became a loved member of the Lopke family and was thought of as a father, grandfather and great grandfather to their family. Paul was a hard working proud man with many talents. He was a skilled carpenter, expert tailor and was able to build or repair anything. He enjoyed farming, gardening, and loved all animals.
He is survived by Frank and Barbara Lopke Jr. and their children, Christopher and Judith Brown, Michael and Anne Trivisonno, Steven and Mary Gregg, Elizabeth Lopke and Jack Edwards and their families. Paul will be greatly missed.
He was a long time member of St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Johnson City.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Saturday 10am at St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1 St. John’s Parkway, Johnson City with the Rev. Zinoviy Zharsky officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
