Joseph Vattai formerly of Endwell

Joseph Vattai, 84 passed away peacefully Friday evening, February 5, 2010, in Ardentown, DE.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty years, Maria Lucik Vattai in September, 1998.
He is survived by his son Joseph George Vattai and his wife, Pamela, three grandsons, Joseph Michael and Anthony Christian Vattai, all of Boothwyn, PA and Christopher F. Bush of Endwell, a brother, Robert Vattai, a brother-in-law Frank Lucik, and nieces and nephews.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Joe was a former employee of the Endicott-Johnson Corp. and a retired employee of the I.B.M. Federal Systems, Owego after twenty-seven years of service. He was also a member of the Owego I.B.M. Quarter Century Club.

Funeral Information

A Divine Liturgy and funeral service will be celebrated by Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko on Monday 9am at St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street Binghamton. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. Rev. Dutko will conduct a prayer service Sunday 3pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street Binghamton where the family will receive friends Sunday 2-5pm.
