Miss Olga TylkoAugust 14, 1921 - September 17, 2009 Olga Tylko of Johnson City
Olga Tylko died unexpectedly at home on September 17, 2009. She was 88 years old. She is survived by her brother; John Tylko, her nephew; John Tylko Jr. and his wife Elizabeth and their children Julianne, John III, William and Michael; her niece, Carole Ann and her husband Savron Hudson. Olga was predeceased by her sister, Julia Palso. Olga was a graduate of Johnson City High School. She was a very caring and generous person. She worked at Ansco, GAF and Anitec for 37 years. She led a simple life. She loved flowers, gardening, animals and traveling. She was a life long member of St. John Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She was the daughter of immigrant parents, Anna and Nicholas Tylko, and cared for them in their later years. Funeral InformationFuneral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton and at 9:30 AM at St. John Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Johnson City, where Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Father Zinoviy Zharsky. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Father Zharsky will conduct a Panakhida on Monday at 7:30 PM at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
