Anna Kahanick of Binghamton

Anna Kahanick 97 fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday afternoon, November 9, 2017, at Susquehanna Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Helen Piros, her husband, Stephen Kahanick, her sister, Mary Dohanich and her brother, Nicholas. She is survived by nieces, nephews and caring friends including Ted and Theresa Koast.

She was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, regularly going to church and making “potato fillings” for the annual pirohi sales.

She was a retired binder for Hall Printing after forty years of service and a member of the International Printing and Graphic Communications Union.

Anna was a very generous and lovely lady who enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. 

Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the 4th floor of Susquehanna Nursing Home for their compassionate care.

Services are under the direction of the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home.

Funeral Information

A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 9:30am at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton with Protopresbyter James Dutko officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday     prior to the services at the church from 9 to 9:30am. 

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anna's memory to her church.
