Mr. Alex Kushner

Alex Kushner 78 passed away in his son’s arms on Sunday afternoon, June 28, 2009.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters.
He is survived by three daughters; Kathy Christian of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, Judith Ann and her husband, Duane Hearl of Valrico, FL, and Helen Beth Kushner of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, his son and caregiver; Nicholas Kushner of Endwell, a granddaughter; Ashley Kushner of Indian Rocks Beach, FL.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church. He was a former partner of Douglas Building Supplies, Johnson City.
He was an avid sports fan of the Yankees, Rangers, Giants and Knickerbockers and an animal lover, especially his kitten; Angel. He liked to listen to Frank Sinatra, jazz and is probably talking with the “Rat Pack” now. He also appreciated his son’s music, especially “The Grateful Dead” and “ Metallica”.

Funeral Information

A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko on Friday at 9am at St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton where Rev. Dutko will offer a prayer service at 8pm.
