Mr. Michael Kulik

Michael Kulik of Binghamton

Michael Kulik 86 will celebrate Easter in heaven this year. Michael fell asleep in the Lord on Monday morning, April 10, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family and guard dog, Missy.

He was predeceased by his grandson, Adam Koshinski.

He is survived  by his devoted wife of sixty-two years, Ramona Kulik of Binghamton, three daughters, Karen ( David) Koshinski, LuAnn (James) Natyshak, and Susan (William) Kelleher, a son, Michael (Ann) Kulik, eight grandchildren, Angela (Doug), Daniel (Samantha), Lacie (David), Christopher (Stephanie), Courtney (Greg), Liam, Cade, and Michaela, ten great grandchildren, Katelynn, Nathan, Riley, Jordan, Rozalyn, Graysen, Gavin, Keegan, Emersyn and Ellis,  his brother, Dr. Frank (Dr. Vicki) Kulik, and several nieces and nephews. Also his hunting and fishing buddies Dave, Bobby John, Mark and Carl and his special “adopted” daughter, Gail Petkash.  

Michael loved his family, St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church and donating his time with his wife at St. Michael’s Recreation Center, helping cook many cabbage heads for holubki, cabbage for pirohi and pirohi for many sales, church festivals and other events. And for many years, he was “St. Nick” for the St. Nicholas Breakfast.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and bird feeding. He will be remembered as a hard worker and an avid Yankees fan.

He was a former worker for E-J, ANSCO, GAF, ANITEC and retired from International Paper. He also worked for Cherokee Plate Glass. He was honorable discharged from the National Guard after ten years of service.

 

 

 

Funeral Information

Funeral Service will be offered by Protopresbyter James Dutko on Thursday 10:30am at St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton where the family will receive friends Thursday 9:30am until the time of the service at St. Michael’s Atrium. Rev. Dutko will conduct a prayer service Wednesday 5pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton where the family will receive friends Wednesday 5-8pm.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael's memory to St. Michael's Kitchen Renovation Fund.
