Dorothy (Pavlisak) Russin of Binghamton

Dorothy (Pavlisak) Russin 82, formerly of White Birch Lake Windsor, NY was peacefully lifted to heaven’s gate by the Lord on Saturday evening, August 15, 2009.
She was predeceased by her husband; John, daughter; Nancé, brothers; John and George Pavlisak, sisters; Mary Shelby, Ann Osmin, Helen Donlick and Sue Gardner.
She is survived by her son; David (Donna) Russin, her daughter; Cindy (Cary) Contois, grandsons; Jason (Amy) Russin and Cody Contois, granddaughter; Cara (Eric) George, and great grandchildren; Rylee and John Russin. She is also survived by her sister; Katherine Prytherch, her brother; Peter Pavlisak, a favorite brother-in-law; Joe Russin, and many special nieces and nephews.
Dorothy enjoyed bingo, racino, playing cards with her family and friends. You never left her home hungry. She retired from Laborer’s Local #7 after many years of service as a secretary. She was a very gracious and unselfish lady bringing happiness to every life she touched. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on in each of us.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Thursday 12:30pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton with Rev. Carl Batzel, of the Community Church of Susquehanna, PA, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Thursday 10:30am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to either U.H.S. Neurological Unit on South Tower Three or to the charity of one’s choice.
