Obituary for Mary Joan Hryck

Mary Joan “Joanie” (Comer) Hryck formerly of Endwell
Mary Joan “Joanie” Hryck 76 went into the arms of Christ on Monday morning, April 16, 2018, at the Willow Point Nursing Home.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, her parents, George and Mary Comer, her brother, Raymond, her brother-in-law, Albert Lazo and her sister-in-law, Judy Comer..
She is survived by her children, Marianna Christine Hryck (Andrew) Gorfain (Gore) and Michael David Hryck Jr., her brother, George (Ellen) Comer, her sister, Barbara Lazo, nieces, nephews her dog, Robert and her cat, Quincy.
She was the matriarch and “the general” of the family. She was a retired employee of the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Corporation. Joanie was the Union-Endicott Class of 1960 Reunion Organizer for many years.
A celebration of Joanie’s life will take place on Monday at 10am at Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect St. Binghamton, Burial will follow at Riverhurst Cemetery. Visitation for Joanie will be on Sunday 2-5pm at the funeral home.
