Obituary for Pauline Russell

Pauline Russell ("Aunt Pauline"), age 105, of Endicott passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She would have been 106 on January 22, and was a vibrant lady until the day she died.

She retired from IBM in 1972, and had been a member of St. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church for most of her adult life. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Boyd Russell, four sisters: Ann Metras, Mary Miller, Katherine Luther and Helen McNamara, and a brother John Kohut. She is survived by her niece, Debbie Sochor (husband Bill) of Newark Valley, NY, their sons Dan Sochor (wife Diana and daughter Katie) and Bob Sochor, and many other nieces, nephews and their children.

Aunt Pauline was so much more than just an Aunt, and the light of our life; she will be greatly missed.
Her sense of humor, generosity and positive outlook were always a joy and inspiration to us and everyone who knew her.

A big thank you to the wonderful staff at Tulip Court in Ideal Nursing Center, who appreciated her for the special person that she was and cared for her with love.

A funeral service will be held at Sts Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 210 Hill Avenue, Endicott on Monday at 10am with Very Rev. Alexey Karlgut officiating. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
