Obituary for Katherine Prytherch

Katherine (Pavlisak) Prytherch 98 years fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday afternoon, October 27, 2018, at Lourdes Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; three brothers, John, George and Peter Pavlisak; five sisters, Dorothy, Mary, Ann, Helen and Sue; and two special nieces, Sharon Koehler and Nancy Doll.
She is survived by a daughter Kaye and her husband, Charles Debnar, two granddaughters, Heather (Robert) Pepper and Jennifer (Michael) Marconi, five great grandchildren, Kayla (Tanner) McMillen, Alex Pepper and Rachel, Shelby Pepper, Brayden Marconi and Milan Marconi, several nieces and nephews, Bill (Helen) Prytherch, David (Donna) Russin, Bill (Diane) Osmin, Peg Shelley, Judy Sullivan, Carol Stanford, Cindy (Carey) Contois, Chris Pavlisak, Laura (David) Kaeding, Kip (Dusti) Hunsinger, Kris (Sally) Milligan and special friends, Lynda Matys and Verna Stoddard.
Katherine was an active member of St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, working at the annual pirohi and holubki sales and a member and former president of the Ladies Guild. She was a retired employee of the GAF Corporation, Binghamton and the Millenary Department at Fowler’s Department Store. She loved her family, cooking for them and enjoyed bowling, dancing and playing cards and bingo.
A funeral service will be offered by Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko on Thursday 12:30pm at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 10am till noon at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street Binghamton.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff at St. Louise Manor, Hilltop Rehab, and Elizabeth Church Manor for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Katherine’s memory to either United Methodist Homes, 10 Acre Place, Binghamton, NY 13904 or to her church.
